The Camp uses Morland Parish Church for practices and services, sings evensong on Friday in Carlisle Cathedral, holds its concert on Saturday in Penrith Methodist Church, uses Morland Area C of E Primary School for meals and rehearsals, and is endorsed by the Royal School of Church Music as an 'Approved Residential Course'. A Taste of Morland is one of the activity holidays run by David & Jenny Jones near Morland at Newby End Farm, where they also provide a campsite for tents and caravans and a self-catering cottage. Freddy Markham has a campsite for tents and caravans in Morland (Greengill Campsite) and a holiday cottage (The Bower House). He also runs Morland Business Centre, adjoining the village square, which offers rental office accommodation. The Mill Yard Café (set up by Freddy Markham and now run by Robert Kyte) is also in the village square and is open every day. Outside the week of Camp, B&B accommodation is available in Morland at Mill Beck Cottage and at Morland House itself. Or the four properties on the Morland Hall estate are available throughout the year for holiday accommodation, weddings and other events. |
